The Blue Waters Program

Home / About / Our Program

It's all in the structure

Let’s start with the basics…

  • Random and frequent monitored drug and alcohol testing, minimum two times per week.
  • Mandatory house meetings
  • All clients will be expected to keep a tidy room (i.e. making your bed each morning), and will be assigned a chore around the house. Chores and rooms are checked daily by management.
  • No MAT program housing (exceptions for Vivitrol/Naltrexone/Antabuse)
  • We do not allow any use of CBD/Delta 8/medical marijuana/kratom/kava/etc.
  • Random room searches

Progressive & Long-term program

At Blue Waters Recovery Foundation/Sober Living by Tiffany we have a 4-phase program. We welcome clients to stay as long as they like, and our phases reflect that, as we ease off restrictions based on 12-step progress and length of stay.

Phase 1 – First 30 days

Curfew: 10:30pm every night and no overnights allowed

Phase 2 – After 30 days and depending upon progress with a 12-step program

Curfew: 10:30pm Mon-Thu, 11:30pm Fri-Sat, and two overnights allowed per month

Phase 3 – After the next 30 days and depending upon progress with a 12-step program

Curfew: 11:30pm Mon-Thu, 12:30am Fri-Sat, and four overnights allowed per month

Phase 4 – After a total stay of 6 months and depending upon completion of a 12-step program and the previous 3 phases

We consider Phase 4 a successful completion of our program, curfew is lifted, and all late curfews and overnights will need approval from a manager. Clients are still monitored and drug tested.

Weekly Program Reviews

At Blue Waters Recovery Foundation & Sober Living by Tiffany our weekly program reviews measure a clients progress and help client set and achieve their goals.

Where some sober livings may treat a 12-Step program like a suggestion, here at BWRF we treat the 12-steps like a requirement. Every client undergoes a weekly program review where they sit one-on-one with a house manager and touch base to find where each client may need to focus their efforts. All program reviews are examined weekly by a program director.

Examples of some Program Review questions include:

  • Who is your sponsor?
  • What step are you on?
  • What is your current step work assignment?
  • Which meetings did you go to this week?
  • Are you employed?
  • What goals do you have for this week?

Employment

95% of our client are employed. We find that most clients are able to find work within 2 weeks of moving in.

There is a great amount of accomplishment and pride that our clients feel when they’re able to hold down a job, pay their own bills, buy their own food, and support themselves. And we’re here to help them realize this accomplishment. Our job search procedure is in place to support and expedite their success.

Clients may be asked to submit their resume; managers and program directors can offer insight or coaching.

We may ask clients to fill out a job search form; taking note of where they’ve applied, who they spoke with, and when they last followed up.

Clients also may be required to be off property from 10am to 4pm looking for employment.

We offer lists of places to apply where other clients have had success, and we’re always appreciative of many of our alumni who reach out and provide job opportunities for current clients.
