Why your gift matters

We run structured, FARR-accredited sober living homes in Pompano Beach, Oakland Park and North Miami Beach. Our Stabilization Fund helps residents through the hardest first weeks: recovery scholarships, transportation, food, hygiene and clothing, bridge medications, and help applying for benefits.

When a $10,000 grant from the Sol Taplin Charitable Foundation came in, it funded 12 recovery scholarships. Here’s what scholarships have done so far:

How Give Miami Day works

What is Give Miami Day?

A 24-hour online giving day hosted by The Miami Foundation. 2026 is its 15th year. Thousands of local nonprofits raise money from the community on the same day.

Can I give early?

Yes. Early giving runs Saturday, November 14 through Wednesday, November 18, and early gifts count toward Give Miami Day. Giving on the day itself is open until midnight ET on Thursday, November 19.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Blue Waters Recovery Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. Gifts may be tax-deductible as allowed by law. You’ll get a receipt from the Give Miami Day platform; consult your tax advisor for your situation.

Why give through this link instead of our regular Donate page?

Gifts only count toward Give Miami Day when they go through our official Give Miami Day profile. That helps us show up on the day’s leaderboards and qualify for anything extra the day offers. Any other time of year, our Donate page works great.
